I’m a Recruiter Team Lead at Oceans, but beyond my role, I’m a curious and empathetic person with a genuine passion for learning, creating, and connecting.

I come from a big family (yes, I’m the middle child of six), and that’s shaped a big part of who I am today. I love cooking, I enjoy art in many forms, especially painting, and I try to find moments to express myself and enjoy the little things in life.

Just a few months ago, I joined Oceans, and since then I’ve found not only a place to grow professionally but also a team I truly feel connected to.

 A little about me

If I had to describe myself to someone who doesn’t know me, I’d say I’m an empathetic person with strong family values. I come from a large family, and without a doubt, my family is one of the most important pillars in my life. I also like to believe that I’m a pillar in theirs.

At the same time, I deeply value my individuality. I love expressing myself, through art, cooking, or simply exploring new passions. I have a dog, I love plants, and I truly enjoy being surrounded by living things. There’s something special about creating, whether it’s with a paintbrush, with your hands, or with a good recipe.

My journey at Oceans

I joined Oceans some months ago as the Team Lead for the Recruitment team. It’s been an exciting and challenging journey, the kind of experience I truly enjoy.

From day one, I was impressed by how structured the company is, especially for such a young organization. There were already clear processes in place, but what stood out the most was the openness to change. I felt like I could bring new ideas to the table, and I loved that.

Another thing I noticed right away was the atmosphere, there’s a real sense of camaraderie here. There’s trust, support, and a genuine feeling of belonging. That’s not easy to find, and I truly value it.

How I lead

As a leader, I try to lead with coherence, that what I say aligns with what I do. If I expect something from my team, it’s because I also expect it from myself.

I hope my team sees me as someone who provides direction, listens, and supports, but also knows when to adjust the pace or raise the bar when needed. For me, leadership is about finding the right balance between results and people.

What makes Oceans special

What makes Oceans stand out, in my opinion, is this constant drive to improve. There’s a strong mindset of: “We already do this well, but how can we do it even better?” That ambition, combined with the strong relationships we build as a team, creates something truly unique.

Even before I met many of my teammates in person, I already felt welcome. There’s a natural connection that makes you feel part of the group from the very beginning. And I think that says a lot about the culture that’s been built, and the people who lead it.

Life beyond the screen

Outside of work, you’ll probably find me doing one of two things: cooking or exercising. Cooking is one of my greatest passions. I love good food, especially desserts, so I enjoy learning how to cook my favorite dishes. That way, I don’t have any limits: I can make whatever I want!

I also love painting, especially with oil. Although I haven’t been very active with it lately, it’s a passion I always come back to. What I love about oil painting is how slowly it dries, it gives me time to experiment, change things, and keep building on the canvas. I’ve even sold a few of my paintings!

Learning never stops

One thing I’ve learned at Oceans is to never get too comfortable. Things move fast here, especially in recruitment. There’s always a deadline, a skill set, or a budget to meet. That constant motion keeps you alert and on your toes.

Lately, I’ve also been exploring the world of finance and investments, more as personal growth than for work. But it’s always with the intention of expanding my toolkit. I believe knowing a bit about many things, psychology, nutrition, finance, art, helps us grow as people.

A word for future recruiters

If you’re thinking about getting into the world of tech recruitment, here’s what I’d say:

Be clear on why you want to do it. Know your purpose.

Tech recruitment is fast-paced, demanding, and competitive. But it can also be incredibly rewarding. You’ll need more than just tech knowledge, you’ll need emotional intelligence, business sense, human understanding, legal awareness. It all adds up.

And if that excites you, then go for it. It’s a path where you can grow, develop, and gain valuable skills that are highly relevant in today’s world.
