Job Responsibilities

• Debug, maintain, and enhance legacy systems primarily built with .NET, C#, and VB.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system reliability.
• Support and contribute to custom software engineering initiatives across a variety of technologies.
• Assist in the transition and modernization of legacy solutions, contributing to long-term strategic goals.
• Provide accurate time estimations and assist in planning efforts during early engagement phases.
• Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule to ensure seamless project continuity.

Job Requirements

• Great English proficiency (B2+ Written and spoken)
• 8+ years of experience as a Senior .Net Engineer
• Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible but being in time for meetings is crucial
• Expertise in .NET, C#, and VB development.
• Working knowledge of Python and Postgres.
• Demonstrated ability in custom software engineering processes and methodologies.
• Proven skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining legacy systems.
• U.S. Citizenship (required due to client-specific requirements).
• Strong ability to work independently and adapt quickly to evolving technical environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a fully remote setup.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning from part-time to full-time roles.
• Familiarity with planning and forecasting in agile environments.
• Background in government or regulated industry software projects.
• Experience providing cost estimates across varying levels of technical staffing.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
