Job Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans and cases for POS systems in retail and restaurant environments.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, load, and security testing across rugged POS software platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality at every stage of development.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) to support continuous quality assurance.
  • Validate complex transaction workflows and ensure stability in high-volume production environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide clear documentation and reports to drive resolution and quality improvement.
  • Uphold best practices in testing strategy, test data management, and defect tracking.

Job Requirements

  • Great English proficiency (B2+ Written and spoken)
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
  • Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible but being in time for meetings is crucial
  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies across multiple platforms, including rugged POS software.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, and Playwright.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
  • Expertise in performance, load, and security testing of high-volume transaction systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skill
  • Proven track record in testing POS systems at scale in retail/restaurant environments; Xenial POS experience preferred.

Nice to have 

  • Familiarity with cloud-based POS architectures, microservices, and SaaS deployments.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, omnichannel ordering flows, or multi-unit retail environments.
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools for production systems.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
