Job Summary
Drive the design and optimization of cutting-edge, real-time video pipelines delivering sub-100ms latency on mobile and embedded devices. Tackle complex performance challenges across the full video lifecycle while pushing the limits of high-resolution, high-FPS video systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize real-time, on-device video pipelines to achieve measurable low-latency outcomes (sub-100ms glass-to-glass).
• Own the full video lifecycle, including capture, encode, transport, and render, ensuring performance optimization at each stage.
• Deliver high-resolution (1080p–4K) and high-FPS (30–120fps) video performance on mobile or embedded platforms.
• Implement and optimize GPU-accelerated processing using Metal, OpenGL ES, or Vulkan, including hardware-level enhancements such as zero-copy and codec optimization.
• Leverage Android and iOS video frameworks (Camera2/CameraX, MediaCodec, AVFoundation, Core Video) to build efficient solutions in constrained environments.

Job Requirements:

• Proven track record building real-time, on-device video pipelines with measurable low-latency outcomes (sub-100ms glass-to-glass).
• Deep understanding of the full video lifecycle: capture, encode, transport, and render.
• Hands-on experience delivering high-resolution (1080p–4K) and high-FPS (30–120fps) video performance on mobile or embedded devices.
• Strong command of GPU-accelerated processing (Metal, OpenGL ES, Vulkan) and hardware-level optimizations such as zero-copy and codecs.
• Practical expertise across Android and iOS video frameworks (Camera2/CameraX, MediaCodec, AVFoundation, Core Video).

Nice to have:

• Experience building video systems for AR/VR, automotive, HMI, or consumer devices where latency and stability are mission-critical
  Background in multi-camera pipelines (stereoscopic, 360°, multi-lens synchronization).
• Exposure to custom image processing or computer vision running on-device.
• Familiarity with thermal, power, and memory optimization strategies at the system level.
• Ability to tune and debug performance across CPU/GPU boundaries, including profiling tools and hardware-level bottlenecks.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
