Who is Priscila? And what is her role in the company?
I am a cheerful and dreamy young woman who loves to travel. I work hard and put a lot of effort into achieving my goals. I am passionate and intense about the things I love and enjoy. At times, I can be a bit absent-minded. I am always driven by a strong desire to help others and do good.
In the company, my role is Success Manager Coordinator. Essentially, I oversee the account management aspect of the company. This involves working closely with our Success Managers (account managers) and staying updated on any issues, feedback, or situations that arise with consultants or clients. I handle contracts, salary adjustments, team coordination, onboarding processes, and ensuring that project objectives are met. By doing so, I contribute to the continuous progress of the Success Manager department.
How long have you been with Oceans and what was your first impression?
I have been with Oceans for one year and four months. My initial impression, excluding my separate encounter with Eder, was during the interview with the whole team. It was quite different from what Oceans truly is. There were about five people from different departments/areas interviewing me, and everyone seemed very serious and formal. They appeared focused and business-oriented, and it gave me the impression that everything here was very serious. However, over time, I realized that the day-to-day atmosphere is actually quite different. I don't mean to say that people here are not focused or business-oriented, but the overall vibe is more relaxed and friendly.
I found it hard to believe that Eder was the CEO. He doesn't fit the stereotypical image of a CEO due to his youthfulness. However, he struck me as a down-to-earth, humble, social, and kind individual. At that moment, I thought Oceans was a small project that was just starting to take shape, and I felt that I could join and contribute to its growth. However, upon joining, I discovered that it was already a well-established project with interesting initiatives.
What is it like to work at Oceans?
Working at Oceans has been an incredible experience for me. One of the most important aspects, especially as I've grown older, is the value of time. Time allows us to live, fulfill our dreams, and do the things we love and want to do. At Oceans, I've found the perfect balance between my personal life and work. Very few companies provide such a great work-life balance. If I need to run an errand during the day, I can go and do it. If I have a medical appointment, I can attend without any issues. If I need to take my grandmother to the hospital, I can do that too. I can then make up the hours later and complete my work. I appreciate that there's no one constantly pressuring me or micromanaging my work. Thankfully, micromanagement is not something present here. This is exactly what I was looking for in order to continue building my professional career. Oceans allows me to live my life, travel, do what I love, explore, and even take breaks to enjoy a cup of coffee while still being productive. I truly value this flexibility and freedom.
Tell us about an accomplishment you’ve made while working with Oceans
I think I am proud of myself. I started as an Executive Assistant, and in my first week at Oceans, I had the expectation that they could teach me more. I had some experience with the tasks assigned to me, and in less than a year and a half, I have the role that I currently hold. So, I take pride in that and knowing that I am in a company that allows people to advance and grow with their career path.
In general, I feel proud of the order that has been established in this department. Data is crucial, and it brings me satisfaction to know that when I arrived, some things were a bit disorganized and neglected. There were instances where dates, contracts, or certain adjustments were not easily accessible, making it challenging to find information. However, with the automation tools, spreadsheets, and other resources we have implemented, any information I need regarding consultants or clients is now readily available at my fingertips. It has taken time and personal effort to reach this level of organization and data management, so I am genuinely proud of that achievement.
What is your main motivation on a daily basis?
There are several things that motivate me on a daily basis. Firstly, I love working with people. Knowing that the impact of my work affects individuals, such as providing meals for families, supporting people's education, enabling access to healthcare for children, or helping individuals pursue their travel dreams through project management, is incredibly motivating. Seeing consultants achieve their goals and dreams through their work is also a great source of motivation for me.
On a personal level, I live with my mom, grandma, brother, and our beloved pet. They are the ones who inspire me to get up, work hard, and do things well. Additionally, the knowledge that what I do today will contribute to my future and help me reach my goals is another powerful motivator that drives me each day.
What is your professional expectation?
From my perspective, the technology industry is one that offers plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement. One can be as ambitious as they desire. Personally, things have been happening quite quickly for me over the past year, so I haven't had a chance to sit down and think, "Oh, I want this specific position." For me, the next step in my career is always about continuous learning and personal growth, regardless of the job title or label. Whether I am a manager, specialist, or agent, as long as it means progress and improvement for my career, I will be happy.
Apart from my career in public relations, one aspiration I have is to obtain an international Master of Business Administration (MBA). However, this goal is not on the immediate horizon as I first need to complete my current stage of studies in public relations at university.
But my ultimate dream in life is to work in the music industry.
What do you enjoy the most about working remotely?
There are several benefits to working remotely. The main one is saving money on gasoline since I don't have to commute to the office. Additionally, I save a significant amount of time by avoiding traffic, and as someone who loves to sleep, it allows me to get more rest. Another advantage is that working remotely enables me to be present at home. This is particularly important for me as I can take care of my elderly and sick grandmother, being readily available to assist her with anything she needs.
Moreover, remote work also grants me the flexibility to travel. In the upcoming days, I'll be heading to Europe and will be able to work from there for two months while exploring new places.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy attending concerts and live performances. I also like exploring new places and trying out recommended restaurants and cafés, often discovered through TikTok. Traveling is another passion of mine, and whenever I have the chance, I embark on new adventures. Staying active is important to me, so I frequently go to the gym and engage in exercise. I love listening to music, and while I'm not a big fan of watching television, I occasionally indulge in a series or two. Spending quality time with my family is something I truly cherish.
Additionally, whenever an opportunity arises, I like to engage in social work and contribute to meaningful
